In my spare time I'm re-landscaping my backyard. (As you can see, the grass is long gone!) Just finished this 40-foot bench that also serves as a retaining wall and covers an ugly old cement one. We'll add some more succulents to eventually drape over the bench, perhaps a few pots too.
Our other venture, Klineworks, fuels my creative side. When I'm not at my day job fixing and creating home solutions, I love using the basics of wood and metal to create one of a kind home accessories. klineworks.net
Want to keep your options open when deciding what goes on your walls? Picture rails embrace the change that you sometimes need. Custom-sized, painted "ledges" fill a wall space and blend into the background.
A personal project: We acquired an authentic early '70s Brazilian Rosewood Eames Lounge Chair a while back. But it was in rough shape in parts -- a lot of parts and with some of its unique hardware missing. My kind of project! I love to find rough gems and bring life back to them. Learn about them, find out what makes them unique, how they came to be. It's rewarding to not only appreciate a piece's form and function, but to also know its story.
Long story short: Located the missing hardware online, cleaned up the leather, polished the base, channeled Charles and Ray and now it's my favorite chair. I'm blogging from it right now.
Here's a solution for humans and pets who share small living spaces: we "annexed" the litter box! The cats' facilities are now hidden within a bench on the balcony, and the cats enter through a small hole we made in the wall and through the back of the bench. The front of the bench slides out like a drawer for "maintenance" and we added some carpet for the kitties to wipe their feet before going back in the house.
"This has completely changed our lives," says our customer, Steve, who lives with his wife Laura and their three cats in a one-bedroom condo. "Now I get to keep shoes in my closet where the litter box was, and there's no more cat litter on the floor."
We're here to share ideas and solutions. No giant overhauls, just small fixes, add-ons and custom work that make your home a nicer place to be.
